Taccia Mizu-ki Maki-e Urushi Fountain Pen
This lacquer fountain pen beautifully encapsulates the essence of each season, brought to life by the remarkable maki-e artistry of Ms. Kitano Yoko. Cherry blossoms bloom in spring, lush leaves represent summer, wild grapes signal autumn, and cold peonies embody winter, each reflecting the seasonal vibrancy through her meticulous detail.
A Tottori Prefecture native and student of renowned artist Nobuo Kitani, Ms. Kitano merges modern aesthetics with the time-honored Wajima painting techniques, producing pieces that feel both refreshingly new and deeply anchored in Japanese tradition. Her work has been prominently displayed in esteemed exhibitions, including the Japanese Exhibition, where she has also served as a judge.
Experience the artistry and elegance of Japanese craftsmanship with each stroke, embodied in this exceptional pen.
Each pen is the result of hours of work by Japanese urushi lacquer craftsmen. Resulting in a product that is proudly 100% Made in Japan. Only 50 are made per design.
