The Kaku-Tate has a perfectly symmetrical 12-sided ebonite barrel repeatedly coated with layers of urushi lacquer. Precision sanding creates dual tone contrast and highlights the geometrical shape of the fountain pen.
After a thorough polish, the pen is sealed with a final lacquer finishing.
