The latest Nakabayashi Yu-sari Collection uses specialized paper that is compatible with most writing instruments, including fountain pens. The papers used are specially developed with a strong emphasis on faster ink dry times. The Yu-sari notebooks have a characteristic smooth writing feel with little to no ink bleed-through.
The name stems from the old Japanese word for sunsets (Yu = Sun, Sari = Past). It is named for the quick drying feature that has been likened to the fast arrival of night right after a beautiful sunset.
