Re:combine your thoughts with 4 NEW COLORS: Apricot, Lobster, Sky and Ink

As soon as we touch the paper with the pen, we set our thoughts in motion. A space opens up in which memories, experiences and insights are reassembled. In this way, ideas, paths and images emerge, which we perceive differently as written. We combine, reflect, think and develop further - re:combine our thoughts.

Four new colors invite us to think differently about the details of the things that surround us every day - and to develop new perspectives: fresh and lively Apricot, intense and expressive Lobster, luminous and expressive Sky, noble and mystical Ink.

Four colors, each stand for a special mood and also harmonize perfectly with each other.

New and yet a classic: The Drehgriffel Nr. 2

Dreh – Griffel: a wordmark and play on words. The design of the ‘Drehgriffel’ wordmark stems from ‘Sütterlin’, a style of lettering developed in Germany during the 1920s to teach handwriting. The deliberate disparity between the wordmark’s old German style creates a playful contrast to the modern design. The German compound word Drehgriffel, which is made up of the two parts Dreh (to twist or turn in reference to the innovative twist mechanism) and Griffel (a nod to the oldest writing utensil in the world from the Greek grapheion), clearly reflects the deep roots of the traditional German company LEUCHTTURM1917. It is certainly no coincidence that the birth of the Drehgriffel and the foundation of Leuchtturm Album Publishing House both date back to the 1920s.
